Is there any news on when or if they will be coming out with more of the mini flyer line? I saw some of the proposed models and I can’t wait for them to come out. They look really cool.

  2. Heather Says:

Is there a website that lists all the Palz and Kubricks made? I’m new to collecting, and I couldn’t find any new resources on the web.

    Thanks!!!

I was just wondering between you guys and me, are any of the minimates you have for sale? like idk the gold spiderman you have in the gallery. it depends if you have it or not

  4. Fujis Says:

Hey Justin. Alas, neither Jatta Pake nor I own a Gold Spider-Man and being rabid fans of all things Minimate the last thing either would want to do if we owned one was sell it. Your best and indeed only bet will be eBay - although be prepared to pay a hefty price.

is thier going to be a new marvel villians wave?

  6. Fujis Says:

I don’t think an all villain wave would ever be released but an all villain box set might be a possibility.

Hi guys. I’m new to minimates so please bear with what may be a stupid questions.
    1) I was looking around this site and I saw pics of CLASSIC Battlestar Galactica minimates!! Classic cylon raider and colonial viper vehicles too!
I was only aware of the ones based on the current tv show. When are the classic versions slated for release and are they exclusive to anyone? I’m not seeing them listed as preorders on any sites so I wasn’t even sure they were coming at all.

2)What is the deal with Marvel? I am just now getting into the mm craze but have a vast array of characters on order through the DC mm waves 1-4 while Marvel really doesn’t have much out there currently other than some SM3 and a few modern age Xmen. I have the sweet looking wave 16 Avengers on order, but I don’t understand why they aren’t pumping these guys out like DC?

3)Speaking of Marvel, will they begin using the larger body that DC is now utilizing for larger characters? It seems stupid if they don’t. Who wants a pint sized Hulk when he should be supersized?? That may/may not keep me from getting quite a few Marvel characters as I plan on mish-moshing a Marvel/DC minimate display at some point. I don’t need Grodd, Clayface etc towering over some of the large Marvel villains.

Thanks for the time and love the site.

    Hey Grouch,

    1) The classic BSG stuff was shown before Diamond Select Toys partnered with Art Asylum on the project. The classic figures might never be released and the BSG Mini-Flyers most certainly won’t. Apparently AA shopped them around for a few years with little in the way of retailer interest.

    2) Well, considering Marvel has 14 waves out with waves 19 and 20 slated to be announced at SDCC I don’t think DCD has them beat hands down quite yet. The main difference between the two lines is the Diamond Select Toys holds the Marvel license whereas DC Direct is in charge of the DC Minimates. The licensee is basically the licensor with the DC line so it seems that they can offer more in the way of accessories and a greater diversity in terms of characters. But it’s also important to remember that the Marvel line is what’s created the momentum for the DC line. AA and DST have been working and reworking the Marvel line and it has become more and more successful, coupled with the loss of the DC Minimates through the C3 line and it’s no wonder that the DCD line is coming on so strong.

    3) As for the 2.5″ figures, the Marvel license that DST currently holds prevents them from implementing it. Apparently DST petitioned DCD not to use the larger scale body as they wanted to keep all of the present lines in the same scale. And while I was not too keen on the size difference in the DCD line when it was first announced, it has grown on me and I agree that the larger Marvel character now look silly next to their giant DC cousins. DST seems to have been using the big chest piece more frequently to help bulk up the larger characters but it doesn’t have quite the same effect as the height difference.

    Hope that was helpful!

Anther question. I’m wanting to purchase some of the older Marvel minimates (and have a potential seller)but have no idea what they are worth. I don’t want to pay too much but I don’t want to offer the guy too little either. Is there an online price guide resource? I don’t have access to Toyfare or any other magazine on a regular basis. Thanks.
