X-FACTOR BOX SET TIME!!! let's see a wolfsbane already. good review and I agree with both sides- I love the iconic look, but it is rather dull and I REALLY hate the goofy-looking headband thing, always have. One of the newer Havok's could've been nice AND worked well w/ classic-like Polaris since she's rarely changed her regal look...

Freak'in ridiculous. I understand what they're going for, but honestly if these "hero squad" are only released through specialty shops then what is the point? Leave this concept (while not a bad one...just not my cup o' tea) to Mattel. I personally thought that DCD's 'mates were the best on the market and do not understand the need to pull-the-plug (they seemed to move quickly in the few places that I found them) after just one year. If they "did not perform to expectation" yet "held their own", then why not simply reevaluate how they are being marketed rather than kill it altogether. I agree with other's posts that these could (and should) perform to everyone's liking if they were to simply go the boxset route (practical, convenient, moderately-priced, with no risk of peg-warming singles) as it seems to work better in today's market. It seems simple to me. Focus on popular current and classic story-arcs or relevent groupings (JLA,JSA, Batman, Superman, G.L. Corp., etc.) and I think they'd be a hit. Then again, I'm biased; I thought they were a hit!

huh, still no Abomination shown. I guess they're not done with him yet or the prototype could have been lost or stolen. Anyone know where he is?

I don't hate the costume, I just found it a bit dull compared to other variations of the look. I've given other 'mates, such as some of the characters from BttF a 3 out of 5 for the same reason: spot on look but dull appearance.

And I listed several options for Havok accessories, many of which could be implemented using existing parts. I'm just saying that as many things as we've been given in the past, there shouldn't be any excuse for neglecting to give energy expelling characters something visual to accompany them.

In either case, my opinion is just that, mine. You don't have to agree, so I welcome the criticism and arguments. I do agree that a classic Havok worked a lot better with the somewhat classic Polaris.

I much prefer the "Torment" Spider-Man or "Amazing Fantasy" Spider-Man over the wave 2 version. I'm not a Minimate purist in the sense that I want reduction of detail - I just think that Havok's costume, while plain, is more iconic than other versions of his costume.
